Incurablog: A Naturalist At Work

So I’ve been going to the zoo a lot lately.  As zoos go, the Hilo zoo is rather lame, but as a free place to hang out and write it’s freakin’ great.  It’s pretty empty and there are covered picknic tables all over.  I’ve gotten chummy with the Hyacinth Mackaw after we had a philosophical conversation that went nowhere, but I think gave us a good understanding of each other.  My position was that perception equals reality and that there are no fundamental truths in life aside from the laws of physics.  His position was to rattle his beak against the cage and squawk loudly.
