Spent yesterday with friends at South Point freediving the coast and jumping off the 30+ foot cliffs into the water.
It was a good day.
Views of Kaalaiki road - the less-traveled scenic route between Pahala and Na’alehu.
I’d never been here before yesterday. I spent about 5 hours on the 10 mile stretch up the hill out of Na’alehu exploring the area.
It was early February and I was camping on the coastline in Kohala. As I was sitting on the cliff eating my breakfast of bananas and dried bonefish I saw a pod of bottlenose dolphins swimming toward the small cove I was overlooking.
So I’m hanging with Purple out in Ocean View for a few days. His housemates have been showing me around. This was looking down at southpoint 20 miles away from the middle of Ocean View’s upper grid on our way down to the Kahuku cave system.
